German retailer Kaufland has announced the opening of its 30th outlet in Berlin, Germany. The company has been present in the capital city since 1993.
With a sales space of 4,000 square meters, the new supermarket is offering a range of more than 25,000 products.
Store Features
Along with service counters for meat and cheese specialties and a department for fresh fruit and vegetables, self-service counters with a wide range of convenience and to-go products have been installed.
In addition, Kaufland’s new store includes a variety of specialist shops, such as a newsagent, a bakery, a hair dresser, and a flower shop. There is also an Asian and an Italian restaurant, as well as a sushi bar.
In the new outlet, LED lighting and a heat recovery system have been installed to save energy. These measures also ensure a reduction in the store’s carbon emissions compared to a standard supermarket.
