Kaufland Romania has launched its first loyalty programme, which will reward loyal customers with substantial discounts, loyalty points and other benefits, the retailer said.
Later in the year, the retailer also plans to introduced customised promotions based on the purchasing habits of each shopper.
Loyalty discounts for Kaufland Card users can be combined with standard promotions and are offered on a different product category each week.
Kaufland's loyalty programme is available either via the Kaufland mobile app – Oferte și Noutăți (Offers and News), which can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play – or via a physical card, which is available in-store, but only provides access to general loyalty promotions.
By integrating the digital card into the Kaufland mobile app, customers can access all both standard and loyalty promotions, as well as recipes, shopping list and retailer updates. .
The loyalty card launched by the Kaufland Romania is the first in the international Kaufland network, which is operated by Germany's Schwarz Group, and has been backed with a 360° communication campaign.
Store Expansion
Earlier this month, Kaufland Romania opened its third store in Bacău and its 121st at nationwide level. The store has a total area of 4,200 square meters and a retail space of over 2,600 square meters.
The new Kaufland store also has two differentiating features from the retailers other outlets in Bacău – it is the first store to offer its customers a fresh fish and seafood section, with 34 items, and also the first with an automatic recycling machine for three types of packaging: PET bottles (up to 3 litres), glass and aluminum (up to 1 litre).
