Kesko Recruits Tieto To Enhance Its ICT Services

Kesko has signed a new cooperation agreement with Tieto, one of the largest IT service providers in Europe, to bring its ICT systems and services up to speed.

The five-year contract is expected to ensure a smoother running of Kesko's IT systems, to help improve the user experience and to be more cost effective - in coordinating the development and maintenance of the K-Group’s digital services.

"Tieto was chosen from among 20 leading ICT service companies, because it could best meet Kesko’s strategic requirements for the improvement of effectiveness and quality of continuous services, as well as investments in new technologies and competencies that underpin Kesko’s growth strategy," said Chief Information Officer, Arto Hiltunen.

Kesko Corporation is a Finnish retail group trading in food, home-wares and specialty goods, cars and machinery. It also supplies the building trade. It operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, the Baltic countries and Russia.
