Finnish retailer Kesko has announced that the first 15 stores of its new health, beauty and well-being retail chain will open this autumn.
The joint venture with Oriola was finalised in June, and will see outlets open in Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Kuopio and Oulu before the end of 2017.
The retailer said that the new chain's name, exact store locations, and more details on the concept will be announced in September.
Recruitment Process
Kesko is now hiring around 100 staff members for the new stores, from pharmacists to personal trainers. The retailer expects to create up to 1,000 new jobs in Finland, with a network of 100 stores and an online retail platform.
"We are building a totally new concept, and are therefore looking for experts in health, beauty, nutrition and sports,” said Katja Lee, HR director of the new chain.
The company plans to expand the business to include pharmaceuticals if the legislation is amended.
