Food giant Kraft Heinz has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Primal Nutrition, LLC - the makers of Primal Kitchen branded products.
Primal Kitchen will be a part of Kraft Heinz’s Springboard platform, which aims to develop brands with an ‘authentic proposition and inspired founders.’
“Primal Kitchen is an authentic, premium and growing brand that complements our core condiments and sauces categories,” said Paulo Basilio, US-zone president for Kraft Heinz.
“We are excited to partner with the company’s strong team to drive growth across multiple categories and reach more consumers looking for these amazing products.”
Business Expansion
It will continue to operate as an autonomous entity from its headquarters in Oxnard in California, under the existing leadership team.
Co-founder of Primal Kitchen, Mark Sisson, said, “Kraft Heinz recognises the value of our Primal Kitchen mission and the consumer demand for it.
“This philosophy will stay with us as we leverage the resources of this new partnership to reach millions more of the consumers who have been seeking products like ours for years.”
In November 2018, Kraft Heinz had announced that it signed an agreement to acquire Primal Nutrition, LLC for around $200 million (€175.9 million).
