Larger Edeka Store Opens In Itzehoe

The Frauen family has announced it will be opening a new Edeka store in Itzehoe, Germany.

The former Edeka store on the Hanseatenplatz will be replaced with a new building twice its size. Customers can now choose from a larger assortment of goods in 2,850 square meters of floor space.

Special features of this store include a lottery centre and a tobacco shop, as well as an in-store pharmacy.

To make it family-friendly, the store has wide aisles, 1.6 metre-high shelves, a customer toilet and a large car park. There are also special trollies for families with children and for wheelchair users.

The Frauen family has four other Edeka stores in the area.
