Geimex and Italian distribution group CRAI have forged a partnership that will see French discount chain Leader Price enter the Italian market.
The confirmation of the development is the result of discussions for the move during 2015, which allowed for the CRAI-Geimex partnership. The franchise will be managed by Geimex.
This project is demonstrative of Leader Price’s long-term goal of expansion outside France, which, in the instance of Italy, will be 'bolstered by the presence of a local [e.g. Italian] business, with knowledge of its own market'.
The initial stores have been planned to open in the first quarter of 2017.
