The start of the new year sees leading Dutch retailers Albert Heijn and Jumbo wooing customers with helpful hints for a healthier lifestyle and special offers to recover from the seasonal spending spree.
Albert Heijn has launched a campaign, titled, 'A Good Start In Seven Steps', aiming to support customers in their fresh battle for a healthier life style - the magical number of steps representing a series of easily achievable goals, such as adding more vegetables and herbs to meals to replace salt or sugar.
For the first issue of its customer magazine Allerhande ('Allsorts'), the retailer invited seven nutritionists to provide consistent and easy to follow information and advice regarding diet. Besides the expert advice, the magazine offers recipes and promotes a new range of 'healthier' products.
It's competitor Jumbo has rolled out its special 'Year Deals' for a second year and continues to offer a range of popular products, such as detergents, diapers, toilet paper, drinks, pizzas and ready-made soup at a discount for the 12 months of 2017.
The popular campaign was launched with a suitably dramatic TV ad, which can be viewed below.
