Russian retail giant Lenta has appointed Ruslan Ismailov as its new supermarket format director.
Ismailov is an industry veteran with more than sixteen years of experience in various retail and FMCG companies.
He held several operational positions at Metro Cash & Carry before joining Lenta in 2007, where he served as regional director, chief operations officer, and divisional director.
'Extensive Experience'
Lenta’s chief executive officer, Herman Tinga, welcomed Ismailov to the management team and said, "Ruslan has extensive experience in operational management and knows Lenta very well. Both the company and supermarkets format will benefit from his expertise."
Ismailov will be responsible for implementing the retailer's development strategy and improving its business model, the company said.
He will also be in charge of improving customer experience and offers in supermarkets, as well as taking responsibility for financial performance and returns.
