Lenta Opens First Hypermarket In Kamensk-Uralsky

Russian retailer Lenta has opened its first hypermarket in Kamensk-Uralsky, a city in the Sverdlovsk Oblast region.

The new 7,800 square metre store is a Lenta compact format supermarket, offering a range of 17,000 products, including private label, national brands, and local produce.

Continued Expansion

The new outlet in Kamensk-Uralsky is Lenta’s fifth hypermarket opening in 2017, and brings the total number of Lenta stores to 196 hypermarkets in 79 cities across Russia and 60 supermarkets in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and the Central region.

Last month Lenta reported that sales grew 16.3% to RUB 85.6 billion in the second quarter of the year, which the retailer attributes to its rapid growth plan.
