Intermarché parent Les Mousquetaires has posted 2.1% growth in retail turnover (including fuel) to €41.2 billion in its financial year 2019.
The group’s global turnover amounted to €45.3 billion during this period, including €4.1 billion from its agri-food division.
The combined turnover of Intermarché and Netto amounted to €27.5 billion, excluding fuel, the company said.
In France, Intermarché saw its turnover increase by 1.9% to €23.5 billion, excluding fuel.
Agri-Food Division
Agromousquetaires emerged in the fourth spot among top players in the agri-food sector in France with a turnover of €4.1 billion in 2019.
Equipped with 62 production units across France, Agromousquetaires acts as a crucial support system for the company.
The company’s real estate division, Immo Mousquetaires added 190,000 square metres of retail space to its network in Europe in 2019.
The food sector accounted for 50% of openings in France, including two hypermarkets purchased by the company from the Casino Group in the cities of Montauban and Nevers.
