Chairman of the board of Lidl Latvija and Lidl Eesti, Jākobs Jozefsons, will leave the role on 1 November 2022.
He will continue his career with the parent company Schwarz Group as chairman of the board of Lidl Sverige, the discounter noted.
In April of 2019, Jozefsons joined the board of both companies and was instrumental in leading the launch of Lidl in Latvia and Estonia and laying the foundation for further business growth in both markets.
Maciej Urbanski
Current board member of both companies, Maciej Urbanski (pictured), will succeed Jozefsons as the chairman of the board of Lidl Latvija and Lidl Eesti from the middle of October 2022.
Urbanski is an experienced professional and has worked with Lidl for more than 18 years.
In October of 2018, he joined the board of Lidl Latvija and Lidl Eesti with responsibility for sales and logistics issues.
The discounter added that it plans to submit the changes in the composition of the board to the Latvian and Estonian Company Registers.
Lidl Latvija
Established in February 2018, SIA Lidl Latvija entered the Latvian market in October 2021, with 15 stores in located Rīga, Liepāja, Ventspils, Tukums, Jelgava, Ogre, Valmiera, Jēkabpils, Rēzekne and Daugavpils.
Currently, it operates 19 stores in 11 Latvian cities as part of the Lidl Latvija store network.
It employs around 2,000 people across its logistics centre, stores and office.
