Following a substantial investment, Lidl Austria has raised its sales from €900 million in the preceding year to €1 billion in the financial year 2014/15.
According to the Austrian news source Friedl News, only one new store was added to its portfolio over the last year.
Lidl's third logistics centre in Austria is due to be built in Wundschuh near Graz shortly, while 30 branches will be modernized.
12 Lidl stores will be completely demolished and rebuilt and by the end of 2016.
Currently, Lidl Austria has over 200 branches and almost 4,500 employees.
