Lidl Denmark has announced the appointment of Anders Frydendahl as its new sales director, effective 1 September 2020.
Presently, Frydendahl serves as the regional director of Lidl Denmark.
In 2004, he joined the discounter as a district manager and went on to take up other roles, including sales manager and action manager in the purchasing department.
'Extensive Experience'
CEO of Lidl Denmark Dirk Fust, commented, “Anders Frydendahl has in-depth knowledge of the Danish grocery market, which he knows from A to Z.
"He has extensive experience in managing the operation of stores and logistics centres. These are skills that can greatly help drive Lidl Denmark to the next step in our development.”
He will replace Marcus Gustafsson, who is to take up the position of sales director in Lidl Sweden.
'An Attractive Target'
Commenting on his new role, Frydendahl, said, "The job as sales director has been an attractive target for me since I started in Lidl Denmark back in 2004.
"The Danish customers are quality conscious and value the good shopping experience, so I look forward to that.”
