German discount retailer Lidl has opened three new outlets in Spain this week, located in Orihuela in Alicante, Vinaroz in Castellón, and Benalmádema in Málaga.
According to an official statement, the company invested €7.5 million in opening these new stores.
Each of the shops features areas dedicated to fresh fish, deli and bakery, alongside the retailer’s ambient offering with over 1,700 products.
The shops have been designed in line with Lidl’s new approach to environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, something that it has incorporated to all its new openings.
Besides low consumption refrigerators, the shops will have an LED lighting system that will cut the amount of energy the stores use considerably.
