Discounter Lidl has opened a new outlet in Galdakao, in Spain’s Basque Country.
As reported by revistaaral.com, the new outlet represents an investment of €2.4 million and will create 20 jobs, 20% of which will be new hires.
The store will cater both for local consumers as well as those from the south of Bilbao and commuter towns such as Bedia, Lemoa, Larrabetzu and Lezama.
The premises follows a sustainability model seen in other stores.
The store features a sales area of 1,300 square metres and offers Lidl's usual range, with particular emphasis on fresh produce.
