Lidl has announced the opening of two new outlets in Portugal.
One store is located in Alfragide, the fifth such store operated by Lidl in the municipality of Amadora and the 58th in the district of Lisbon, while the second is in Monção.
New Store Concept
Both supermarkets have 1,400 square metres of retail space and are in line with Lidl’s new store concept, which emphasises simplicity and efficiency, providing customers with 'easy access to products and services'.
The stores boast wide corridors and a glass façade. Both also offer a range of additional services, including a bakery, a customised bread cutting machine, and a cafeteria.
The assortment puts particular focus on national products, with 70% of the fruits and vegetables and 100% of the meats of Portuguese origin.
As the festive season approaches, Lidl has also re-introduced its Deluxe private label range, consisting of 180 products, 52 of which are new to its range.
