Lidl Slovenija has presented its first mobile shop or 'pop-up store' concept during the MOS International Trade Fair taking place in Celje, in the north east of the country.
With the new concept, the supermarket chain aims to bring its shops and offer closer to its customers. Lidl plans to launch pop-up shops at other selected major events and fairs in Slovenia.
Smaller Store
The store at the MOS is much smaller than the usual Lidl supermarket, as the retail space is only about 94 square metres. The offer includes 122 products, including some of the group's most popular beverages, desserts, salami, cheeses, pastries and biscuits, snacks, cosmetics, organic products, fruit and vegetables, and products from themed 'Lidl weeks'.
"With the store, we want to attract the visitors to the fair to buy at the Lidl store and show them at the same time that they can find quality products at a good price," said Valentin Bufolin, Head of Marketing at Lidl Slovenija.
