The Edeka-owned Marktkauf supermarket in Bünde (north-west Germany) has created an in-store 'Best Burger' station. The novelty feature was opened on 5 September.
“Our team has been trained by professional chefs and serves freshly made burgers of prime Edeka quality”, said Ingo Rodewald, responsible for the food range of Marktkauf Bünde.
“Our customers and the railway commuters from the station nearby can look forward to a greater culinary variety in snacks, menus and specialities, to enjoy on site or to take away.”
The ‘Best Burger’ range includes a 100% beef ‘Original burger’, Hamburger patties, a ‘Caesar Burger’, featuring chicken breast in crispy batter and four varieties of Irish Angus-Beef burgers: the ‘Alm Burger’, ‘Rockstar’, ‘New York’ and the ‘Swiss Burger’. The burgers are also available as part of a menu.
Marktkauf is part of supermarket-cooperative Edeka Minden-Hannover. Edeka Minden-Hannover employs 67,854 people, including independent retailers. It is the most profitable regional company in the German Edeka cooperative.
