Maxima Latvija has announced the appointment of Gunita Ķiesnere as its new chief human resources officer and board member.
Ķiesnere will be responsible for developing and implementing the human resources strategy of Maxima, as well as strengthening employee motivation, engagement, and well-being.
Commenting on her new role, Ķiesnere, said, "I will be pleased to further develop our teams so that our customers enjoy excellent service and experience throughout the network of stores nationwide."
Experienced Professional
Ķiesnere has around 20 years' worth of experience in human resources and business management, working for several international companies including Fazer, Lindex, Rimi, and Statoil.
Most recently, she was responsible for human resources at Fazer Group's companies in the Baltics, Russia, and Nordics.
She holds an EMBA degree from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, the retailer added. With the addition of Ķiesnere, the board of Maxima Latvija will comprise six members.
