Maxima Latvia will unveil three stores in the country's capital, Riga, as a part of an investment programme aimed at improving the shopping experience for customers.
A large-format, reconstructed Maxima XX will be relaunched in 141 Kurzemes Prospekts on 15 November.
Two new, smaller-format Maxima X stores will open for customers on 15 November and 29 November.
Pleasant Shopping Experience
Maxima Latvija board member, Kristīne Āboltiņa, said, “This year, we have unveiled both reconstructed or modernised store on an almost monthly basis.
“Each Maxima store has been carefully planned by our employees and business partners over the course of many months, introducing significant improvements to make shopping even more pleasant.”
The company plans to invest more than €23 million in its expansion project, and will also renovate 15 stores in Riga and the rest of Latvia by the end of this year.
It will also open at least five new stores across the country, in different formats including the Maxima Express.
The retailer is also updating its customer service system, and developing a network of self-service checkouts.
