Cleaning products maker McBride has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Nodland as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Nodland will also become a member of the nomination, remuneration and audit committees at the company.
An Industry Veteran
Nodland is an industry veteran with extensive experience in consumer chemicals manufacturing businesses for private labels and contract manufacturing activities.
Most recently, he served as the president and chief executive of KIK Custom Products - one of the largest independent manufacturers of consumer packaged goods in North America.
He joined the company in 2008 and was instrumental in turning around the business and contributing to its growth, McBride said.
'Relevant Experience'
Commenting on Nodland's appointment, John Coleman, chairman of McBride, said, "His extensive experience in the household and personal care industry, as well as private label and contract manufacturing, will bring additional relevant experience to McBride and prove invaluable to the board in our future discussions."
Before joining KIK Custom Products, Nodland held senior positions at speciality chemical businesses such as Hexion Speciality Chemicals, Inc., McWhorter Technologies and The Valspar Corporation.
He was responsible for chemical plants in western and central Europe, including the UK, Belgium, Italy, and Germany.
Presently, Nodland is also an independent non-executive director of EcoSynthetix, a developer and manufacturer of bio-based polymers for the wood composite and paper industry, and a board member of Augsburg University in Minneapolis.
