Carrefour Belgium has announced that Medi-Market has opened its first shop-in-shop drugstore in its hypermarket in Bierges.
The Medi-Market sales area is spread across 300 square metres and offers a wide range of affordable health and wellness products, Carrefour said.
These include dermo-cosmetics, food supplements, herbal medicine, first aid, and baby products.
The section is separate from the main hypermarket and has its own entrance, Carrefour said in its statement.
In April of this year, the retail giant entered into a strategic partnership with the drugstore chain to launch shop-in-shop pharmacies in its retail space.
Both companies are presently mulling over the possibility of expanding the service to other stores.
