Italian regional grocery retailer Megamark Group has opened a new fresh food store concept under the banner Stammibene, in the city of Bari, in Italy's Puglia region, according to Gdoweek.
The new outlet is equipped with a kitchen, a 'vertical vegetable garden', a grass-covered table for customers to eat at, and a bar which offers sweet and salty breakfasts.
Through the store's website www.stammi-bene.it, 100 'taste ambassadors' have contributed to the development of the market, by giving opinions on furnishing, menus, atmosphere and services.
Specific Features
The Stammibene store features fresh produce, a bakery, and a selection of cereals, nuts, and legumes, along with counters that provide fresh take-away salads, soups and full meals. The outlet is spread over an area of 450 square metres and employs 40 staff.
Megamark Group is a leading retailer in Southern Italy, with over 500 stores under the banners Dok, A&O, Famila, Iperfamila, Sole365 and Superò, located in Puglia, Campania, Molise, Basilicata and Calabria.
