Mercadona has begun construction of its new Data Processing Centre, which represents an estimated investment of €21 million.
As reported by diariovasco.com, the facility will be located in the same site as the company's Logistic Park, in the area of Villadangos del Páramo, in León, and it is expected to be fully operational by 2018.
From the estimated investment, €6 million is destined to the building itself, while €15 million will go to the purchase and installing of IT equipment.
This is Mercadona's second Data Processing Centre; the first one was built in Valencia.
