Spanish millennials consider Mercadona, Lidl and Carrefour to be the most desirable and interesting retail workplaces, according to a recent study by Spanish recruiting app Corner Job.
The study analysed the profiles of young, professional candidates, most of them between the ages of 18 to 34 with little experience in the job market.
Thirty-three per cent of job offers were in sales or real estate, followed by renovation and construction work. However, most jobseekers searched for positions such as restaurant server, shop assistant, and cleaner, including other jobs characterised by high turnover which didn't require specific qualifications.
As reported by granconsumo.tv, this is the second edition of the study, and both Mercadona and Lidl were already in the top 5 after the first study was completed in September. Rounding out the top five are fashion retailer Primark and sports store Decathlon.
According to Corner Job, Spanish workers 'prefer larger companies to develop their careers'.
