Spanish retailer Mercadona has confirmed that it will open its first shop in San Sebastián.
As reported by diariovasco.com, the new business will be located in Belartza and it is expected to open next year.
The new shop will be the fourth in Gipuzkoa, after recent openings in Irun, Eibar and a soon to open shop in Oiartzun. It will have a commercial surface of 1,500 square metres and it will create 40 jobs.
The shop will be the eleventh Mercadona in the Euskadi region. A McAuto (owned by McDonalds) is also expected to open in the same site as the new Mercadona.
