Mercadona has opened its latest store in Valdemoro, Madrid, a property that boasts 1,615 square metres of space, along with 145 parking places. The Spanish retailer invested €3.7 million in developing the new store, the company said.
As well as standard departments such as perfumery, fruits, beverages and butchery, the store also features rest areas, dressing rooms, and a training facility for the new 57 employees.
The new Valdemoro store also features an eco-efficient technology system (heat recovery, efficient lighting system, timers and automatic doors are part of the) that will reduce its energy expenditure by 20%.
