Mercadona has been chosen as Spain's second most reputable company in the country by the Spanish Corporate Reputation Monitor (Merco).
The retailer was chosen just behind clothing company Inditex. It was also selected as a leader in the category of general distribution, ahead of El Corte Inglés and Amazon, in Merco's General Leaders Ranking 2016.
Juan Roig, the president of the company, was also chosen as the most reputable manager of 2016, in the 'Merco Leaders 2016' category.
Meanwhile, Spanish dairy company Calidad Pascual was chosen by Merco as the Spanish company with the best reputation.
