Switzerland’s Migros has announced the appointment of Andrea Krapf as its new head of human resources management and engagement, effective from 1 February 2023.
The administration of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives (MGB) has also elected Krapf as a member of its executive board.
She succeeds Sarah Kreienbühl, who has stepped down from the position to explore an opportunity as chief human resources officer of the logistics group Kuehne + Nagel International AG.
An Experienced Professional
Krapf began her career at Migros Zurich in 2001, in vocational training, and took over as deputy manager a year later.
Between 2005 and 2011, she worked as an HR manager in the areas of logistics/production, construction/property and communication/culture.
In 2011, she moved to the operational management of logistics and headed the transport department, joining the management board of the logistics/IT department at the Migros Cooperative Zurich (GMZ) in 2014.
Commenting on her new role, Krapf said, “I am looking forward to the versatility of my new role. I am fascinated by working for and with people. I can optimally contribute my entrepreneurial experience and skills in my new role.”
Organisational Management
MGB is planning a number of organisational changes, which will see the quality management department of the Migros Group and the company Swiss Quality Testing Services (SQTS) – a partner in laboratory analysis for many companies – relocating to the HRM and Engagement Migros Group department.
Elsewhere, the communications and media directorate and the health platform iMpuls will now be assigned directly to the president of the general directorate.
MiSENSO, the shop for opticals and hearing aid acoustics, will be part of Migros’s retail department.
