Swiss retailer Migros has announced that it is reconstructing one of its stores in Töss, near Zürich. The supermarket will be reopened in the autumn.
Reconstruction work will start at the beginning of July. Migros says that special focus will be placed on the optimisation of product presentation to make shopping easier for its customers.
Store Features
Customer toilets will be added to the store, as well as an outdoor lift from the car park to the ground floor.
During reconstruction, the store's technology will be brought up to date. For a resource-friendly operation, the lightning system will be switched to LEDs and the latest generation of refrigeration units will be used. Migros also plans to use ecological building materials wherever possible.
Overall, Migros Switzerland plans to invest more than four million Swiss francs in the modernisation and refurbishment project.
