Swiss retailer Migros and mail-order pharmacy Zur Rose have announced an extension of their cooperation agreement, with a view to developing high-quality integrated and cost-effective healthcare.
This strengthened collaboration mainly involves shop-in-shop pharmacies, the development of web-shop capabilities and innovative models in the area of integrated care.
Successful Pilot Phase
A recent pilot phase of three shop-in-shop pharmacies in Migros branches was successful, the two companies said in a statement, which is why they have sought to deepen their relationship.
Moreover, the partners have announced an agreement to bundle their resources in the field of e-commerce.
"The expansion of strategic collaboration opens up great potential for improving the quality of patient care while reducing healthcare costs," said Walter Oberhänsli, CEO of the Zur Rose Group.
Further details about the cooperation agreement is due to follow in the next few months.
