Britain's fourth-largest supermarket group, Morrisons has appointed Andy Atkinson as its new group commercial director.
He will be responsible for the company’s trading and manufacturing business and report to the chief operating officer, Trevor Strain.
Atkinson joined the retail giant over eight years ago, and most recently, served as the customer and marketing director of the company.
Before joining Morrisons, he worked for more than ten years in commercial and marketing roles in the retail and FMCG sectors.
Other Changes
Elsewhere, Morrisons has promoted David Lepley to the position of group retail director.
He will succeed outgoing group retail director Gary Mills and report to chief executive David Potts.
Lepley joined Morrisons about four years ago and held senior retail operations and supply chain roles.
According to chief executive David Potts, the new appointments will help the company to maintain the momentum of its turnaround plan and provide opportunities to new generations of talent.
