British retailer Morrisons has reduced the prices of approximately 500 grocery items by 15%, according to a report in the Retail Gazette.
The move comes a week after Tesco announced plans to start price matching Aldi on hundreds of everyday items.
The retailer believes that it will give consumers to access more affordable groceries.
Morrisons also plans to slash the prices of more products in the coming weeks, the report added.
