British retail giant Marks & Spencer has announced that it is to open a 60,000 square feet food and clothing store at Giltbrook Retail Park in Nottingham.
The new outlet is part of the retailer's transformation plan focussed on offering a better shopping experience to customers.
The store, scheduled to open in the summer of 2020, will create 150 jobs, the retailer said.
Sacha Berendji, retail operations and property director at Marks & Spencer, said, "Customers’ shopping habits are changing and so it’s important we change to reflect the way they want to shop – seamlessly integrating our in-store and online experiences.
"In Nottingham reshaping our store estate means opening a big new store next summer that can best serve our customer needs, alongside our high street shop. Stores remain fundamental to how we serve customers and we can’t wait to open in this great location."
Wide Range Of Products
The food section will offer a wide range of products with a special focus on fresh items.
The apparel section will include contemporary, easy-to-wear stylish clothing across all categories.
The store is located in a retail park that also houses cafes, restaurants, major retail outlets, a children’s playground and offers ample parking space.
Ben Grose, head of retail leasing at British Land, said, "Retailers continue to open stores in well-located and well-managed destinations that support omnichannel retail.
"We are delighted that M&S has chosen Giltbrook Retail Park to open one of its new, family-focussed stores. It is a testament to our strong asset management expertise and ability to create vibrant retail locations."
