Nielsen has released its figures showing the regions in France performed most strongly during the month of March, in terms of FMCG sales-growth, according to LSA.
During the four weeks ending 22 March, the east of the country, and in particular the south-east, demonstrated stronger growth than anywhere else. FMCG sales in the south-east grew by 2.9 per cent, for example.
The south-west of France was the only region to undergo shrinkage, with a drop in sales values of 1.2 per cent.
Paris and surrounding environs, the region that generates more sales revenue than anywhere else in the country, were up by 0.4 per cent.
