Swedish fuel operator OKQ8 has launched a new beverage solution from Coca-Cola at a store in Stockholm – ahead of a possible national roll-out.
The concept enables the customer to fill Coca-Cola products in reusable beverage containers.
Collaboration With CCEP
OKQ8 customers can choose between Coca-Cola Zero, Fanta or Sprite, or create their own mix-and-match flavour combinations.
As many as 60 different flavour combinations are available for those who want to try something new.
The reusable containers used to refill the beverage keep it both cold and carbonated.
Sustainable Packaging
“Packaging that is not collected and recycled is a contributing factor to both littering and increased CO2 emissions, so it has been lots of fun to commence this collaboration with Coca-Cola,” commented Karin Hellgren, communications manager at OKQ8.
“Being the first in the industry to offer a sustainable packaging solution for beverage consumption that does not compromise on quality and taste is completely in line with our sustainability goals.”

Elsewhere, Lisa Wahlström, communications and sustainability director at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, said, “We know that today’s consumers are making increasingly conscious choices, and that sustainability is becoming increasingly important.
“We are therefore very pleased that such a large player as OKQ8 is now investing in a packaging solution that enables our beverage to be consumed as sustainably as possible.”
The concept will initially be available at the OKQ8 Globe at Arenavägen 86, in Stockholm.
If successful, the concept will be rolled out to more OKQ8 stations in the future.
