Italy's Pam Panorama is adding 68 new stores to its network effective 1 January 2019, a move that is expected to lead to a 15% increase in turnover.
The Italian supermarket chain will incorporate 16 Arimondo stores in the provinces of Genoa, Savona and Imperia, which will be rebranded as Pam.
An affiliation agreement has also been signed to take over 52 Borello stores in the province of Turin, which will keep the Borello Supermercati banner.
Further store openings are planned during the course of 2019.

According to the managing director of Pam Franchising, Andrea Zoratti, the expansion will enable the retailer to increase its market share by about 35% in both the Liguria and Piedmont regions.

New stores will be opened in during 2019 in Genoa, Rapallo, Sanremo, Loano, Albissola, Albenga, Alassio and Finalborgo.
