Discounter Penny is introducing Amazon parcel lockers in 47 outlets across Austria, allowing customers to collect packages around the clock.
By the end of the year, 31 more stores across Austria will join the initiative, the discounter noted.
Penny And Amazon Collaboration
The Amazon lockers are easily accessible and usually located directly in front of the entrance area of the stores.
The lockers can be used for receiving and sending parcels.
Customers can select the store of their choice as the pick-up station during the ordering process.
Ralf Teschmit, managing director of Penny, said, "The cooperation with Amazon brings benefits for both sides and serves to increase frequency in our stores and to acquire new customers for Penny and Amazon alike.
"In addition, we can now offer our customers even more service: they can pick up their parcels at a Penny store near them and then stop by to shop with us, or customers can see during their daily shopping that they can also have their parcels delivered to Penny without any complications."

The Amazon locker filter view displays all stores with a locker, Penny noted.
Recently, Penny teamed up with ticketing company Cts Eventim and payment provider Epay to offer tickets for music, sports and cultural events at its stores in Germany.
