Rewe Group has announced that Jochen Baab, divisional director with responsibility for trading at Penny Germany, is leaving the retailer.
Baab is taking on the role of management spokesperson at Globus Group, commencing July 2020.
As Rewe Group explained, 48-year-old Baab's decision to leave the retailer was for 'personal and professional' reasons.
Taking over from him will be Hans-Jürgen Moog, 51, who in his role will report to Lionel Souque, chairman of the Rewe Group.
General Managers
In addition, Daniel Kniel (41, Rewe) and Philipp Stiehler (41, Penny), both divisional directors with responsibility for purchasing, are being promoted to general manager of Rewe and Penny respectively, effective 1 November.
"With Daniel Kniel, Philipp Stiehler and Hans-Jürgen Moog, we have a brilliant and efficient management structure", chairman Lionel Souque commented.
