Wolfgang Säbele, a former member of Aldi Süd's directorate, left the company, according to the retailer's website.
Säbele has worked for Aldi Süd since 1993. He has been a company director since 2010.
The directorate, which now consists of three members, acts as consulting council for the 31 regional companies that comprise Aldi Süd’s operation in Germany.
Aldi Süd gave no comment on why Säbele has left the company.
