Polish regulator UOKiK said on Friday it would investigate the way prices at Jerónimo Martins' Polish retail chain Biedronka are presented to clients.
"The allegations relate to the visibility of lower prices next to the product, followed by the charging of a higher price at the counter in chain stores Biedronka," UOKiK said.
The company could receive a penalty of up to 10% of turnover, the regulator said.
Biedronka did not immediately respond to a request for comment and asked for the request to be sent by email.
