The price of bread and cereals was the highest in Denmark among EU nations in 2019, according to the latest data from Eurostat.
When compared with the EU average price level index of 100, Denmark emerged on top of the list with a price level index of 151 followed by Austria at 133, and Luxembourg and Finland at 125.
The price of bread and cereals were almost three times higher in Denmark compared with Romania - the state with the lowest price level index.
Price levels for bread and cereals were the lowest in Romania (53), Bulgaria (65) and Poland (70), data showed.
