A platform established to assist manufacturers and suppliers with supplying retailers in Ukraine is now accepting commercial offers from foreign businesses.
ProdUkraine, which was established by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection in March of this year, is part of the country's National Food Security Platform to provide food and basic necessities to local communities.
Fostering Collaboration
The online platform helps retail chains and suppliers to collaborate more effectively in different regions of Ukraine – manufacturers and suppliers can offer products or respond to existing offers and agree on a contract.
At present, basic necessities are among the most sought-after items through the platform, including food products (eggs, dairy, meat, fish), beverages, babycare and childcare, and household goods. All types of goods are accepted, except for alcohol products.
Close to 320 users have already signed up to the platform, and submitted more than 700 offers , while 110 matches between suppliers and retailers have been established on ProdUkraine in less than a month.
According to a statement, the creators of the platform are interested in 'attracting as many Ukrainian and foreign producers and suppliers as possible. We are all united in the mission to feed the country together'.

A number of retailers and manufacturers across Europe have already pledged support to the country, given the worsening situation there.
