Romanian discount supermarket chain Profi has opened three new supermarkets this month, as part of its ongoing expansion plans.
Two of the new stores are located in the Suceava region, in the north-east of the country, with a standard Profi supermarket in Vicovu de Jos, and a Profi Loco convenience store in Horodnicu de Sus.
A Profi City supermarket was also opened in Rosiorii de Vede, Teleorman, near the Bulgarian border.
Expansion Plans
With the latest openings, Profi now operates almost 600 stores in 328 locations throughout Romania, with a staff of nearly 12,000.
Last month, the retailer opened five new stores in Scheia, Bordusani, Patulele, Pietrosani and Bucharest.
