Romanian supermarket chain Profi opened a total of 195 new stores in 2017, bringing its overall network to nearly 700 stores in 379 locations throughout the country.
The retailer's new additions for 2017 include 55 standard Profi stores, 57 Profi City stores, and 83 Profi Loco stores.
Most recently, it opened new outlets in Bacau, Dobrotesti, Sighetu Marmatiei, Targu Frumos, Albestii de Arges, Gaesti, Baia de Fier, Manastirea, Targu Neamt, Baleni, Moinesti, Scornicesti and Vaslui.
As a result of these expansion plans, Profi has become the retailer with the largest geographic coverage in Romania.
