Romanian supermarket chain Profi has continued to expand its network by opening eight new stores across the country in the past week.
New Profi Standard stores were opened in Timisoara, Sibiu and Barlad, with a sales area ranging from 275 to 388 square metres.
Meanwhile, Roman, Iasi, Bucharest and Pitesti all received stores of the City format, with sales areas of between 127 and 276 square metres.
Finally, in Sapanta, located in Maramures County, a Profi Loco store was opened, with a sales area of 289 square metres.
Expansion Plans
With 631 stores in 343 locations across Romania, Profi is the leading grocery retailer in the country in terms of geographical coverage.
Last month the retailer opened seven new stores as part of its rapid expansion plans.
