Fuel operator Repsol and retailer El Corte Inglés has announced the next steps of their planned rollout of 1,000 Supercor Stop & Go outlets around Spain over the next three years.
The two groups held an event in Madrid this week, under the theme 'Change With Us', which welcomed 1,200 professionals from across the retail sector.
At the event, which marked a year since the signing of the strategic agreement between the two companies, Repsol executive María Victoria Zingoni underlined the importance of the project to the fuel group, saying that it "allows us to innovate, improve our offer in a different way and continue to respond to the needs of the clients, all in the hands of a partner of great prestige".
Continuous Innovation
Zingoni's comments were echoed by those of El Corte Inglés CEO Víctor del Pozo, who said that the partnership forms part of the "continuous innovation maintained by the El Corte Inglés Group".
Since the agreement was signed last year, more than 100 Supercor Stop & Go outlets have been unveiled, with plans to reach 1,000 sites in the next three years.
In addition, as part of the agreement, El Corte Inglés has become the main buying group for Repsol, increasing its range of products to more than 35,000 food and 65,000 non-food products.
Some one million Spanish consumers visit a Repsol site every day, the company said. Shoppers to Supercor Stop & Go outlets are able to use the El Corte Inglés loyalty card while shopping, and avail of savings and added benefits.
