Russia’s O’Key Group has announced the appointment of Artem Taraev as its wholesale director. He will report to the group CEO, Armin Burger.
Taraev will be responsible for helping the company in achieving strategic goals aimed at consolidating the retailer's position in the wholesale market, attract reliable partners, and improve its financial performance.
In September of this year, the company posted an 8.5% decrease in revenue in the first half of its financial year.
Taraev began his career in retail in 2007 with Metro Cash & Carry as a store manager.
Later, he also served as the head of field operations, and regional sales manager for the Siberian region.
In 2014, he joined K-rauta as a sales director, and in 2016 he became the CEO of the company’s Russian wing.
O’Key Group launched its first hypermarket in St. Petersburg in 2002, and it now operates 150 stores across Russia.
