Sainsbury's staff are to share in the retailer's largest ever bonus pot of £90 million.
Up to 134,000 staff across the country will receive a payment, which will be linked to performance. The staff bonus follows the release of the retailer's full-year results on Wednesday, which showed a 4.6% increase in sales and a 6.2% increase in profits.
Commenting on the payout, Sainsbury's chief executive Justin King said, "This record bonus pot reflects the success we've seen which is down to the hard work and commitment of colleagues across the business."
"Our colleagues are the face of Sainsbury's, keeping stores running smoothly and ensuring we help our customers 'Live Well for Less'. So I'm delighted that 134,000 colleagues will share in the well-deserved, record payout."
